7th -

Many Voices, Many Choices

Kathy Lansford

Throughout our lives, we are faced with choices, options, opportunities, forks in the road, best and worst case scenarios, etc. Competing voices call us in many directions. Do we really have freedom of will? We'll examine this mind-boggling conundrum as it applies to the individual, the UU church, our country, and the world at large.

14th -

A Tribute to Earth Mother

George Leonberger

With story, song, chants, and meditation we will honor Earth on Mother's Day.

George has been a story teller for 50 years, a science educator for 39 years, and a Unitarian for 24 years. He became a Unitarian in 1982 without having been to a UU service or even ever speaking to a UU member about his or her spirituality. Pamphlets from Beacon Street persuaded George to join the Church of the Larger

Fellowship. His first "UU World" newspaper told of a new fellowship in Longview - he didn't think anyone else was around! George was one of the first visitors to our Fellowship and one of its first non-founder members. He currently lives in Paris and attends the Red River UU Fellowship in Dennison.

21st -

Flower Communion

Jonna Anderson

The Flower communion service was created by Norbert Capek. For our service this day, each person is asked to bring a flower which will be placed in a communal vase. At the end of the program, each person will be invited to return to the vase to choose a different flower to take home with them.

28th -

Why I Am a Unitarian

Sarah White, Marolen Mullinax, Jessica Noble

and Holly Carlson

Four of our members will present a panel discussion of the reasons they chose to embrace the Unitarian Universalist faith. People with questions about what exactly it means to be a Unitarian will find this discussion informative. Invite your curious friends.
