Inspired by the writings of Andrew Bard Schmookler, Jonna will give us her definition of the "soul" of America and explore where it is (who's got it), where it's headed, and whether it's too late to do anything about it.

Pagan myths abound with resurrection archetypes -- does this have meaning for UU's? Come and explore with Ruth who "worships in the cathedral of Nature."

The important things in life, to us, are not purchased, but are earned – personal integrity, self-reliance, friendship with stimulating people, worthwhile activities of our choice, pleasant surroundings that encourage physical activity, the opportunity to learn about the real world and its people through experience and reading, and above all the freedom to do as we wish on our own terms.

On an income most would consider abject poverty, we live well, doing what we wish, when and where we choose, associating with people we find stimulating, enjoying every day; and wanting for nothing. We will share our "secrets" with you if you are interested.

Tina and Barbara's presentation will focus on the history and the future of the gay rights movement in the United States.
