Reminders from the R E Room We are in the process of establishing a formalized program for the children who come to the Fellowship on Sundays. It will be divided into three sections. The first, and most simple program will simply be childcare and play for those who are less than three years old.
The next division, Chalice Children, is for those who are between the ages of three and six years. The goals for this group are:To experience the classroom as a safe and welcoming place To experience the group as friendly and caring To become aware of their church as Unitarian Universalist and the chalice as the symbol of Unitarian Universalism You the Creator is the section for ages seven to fourteen. The goals for this group are:To become acquainted with each other, the course, and a few of its basic ideas To begin to discover ourselves as creators Due to the Labor Day holiday the first weekend in September, these programs will begin Sunday, September 11th.
Adult R E is an on-going program that may be joined at any time. The book, Our Chosen Faith, is used to review the history of Unitarian Universalism and learn what it means to be a Unitarian. The class is on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm at the Unitarian Fellowship of Longview. You may call Jessica Noble from more information at 903-759-2682.

THE BOOK/DISCUSSION GROUP Integral Theory and Spiral Dynamics were the focus of our group this past spring in preparation for reading and discussing Ken Wilber’s book, A Theory of Everything. A Theory of Everything is a concise, comprehensive overview of Wilber's revolutionary thought and its application in today’s world. In A Theory of Everything, Wilber uses clear, nontechnical language to present complex, cutting-edge theories that integrate the realms of body, mind, soul and spirit. He then demonstrates how these theories and models can be applied to real-world problems in areas such as politics, medicine, business, education, and the environment. Wilber also discusses daily
