                                 The Pursuit of Happiness
                                          Donna McCann
The pursuit of happiness is a fundamental part of every human's existence; hence Thomas Jefferson felt it important to mention prominently in the Declaration of Independence. But just what is it that makes us happy, and why do we seem to have so much trouble figuring it out?

What If We Do Get Real?
                                               Don Prantl
The closer we come to the awareness of reality the more we begin to reinterpret what we see reflected in our world. What one sees reflected may be nurtured in one's self and in one's personal world. At issue is whether encouraging reflections are real, or is such thinking merely a mind game one plays attempting to alter oneself or to manipulate one's environment. We will continue to explore cosmology from the perspective of Yeshua the Anointed One.

The Hand that Rocks the Cradle
                                           Sherry Kircus
A Father's Day look at nurturing, who does it, why, and how. Not all women are nurturers, nor are all men. The gentle folk who care and nurture possess a special blessing and spend their lives sharing it with others. Nurturing people are remembered always by those they've helped along the way, whether they're children, students, neighbors, employees, or just people we've met on a plane. A 'Thank You' to fathers, mine and others, and a wish for a happy Father's Day.

                                The Empire Strikes Back
                                     Rev. Durrell Watkins
The early Jesus movement was an anti-imperial resistance movement. How has empire appropriated the Christian rhetoric and symbolism in defense of modern-day empire building? Is
the 21st century American church a pawn of the very sort of empire the first Christians gave their lives to oppose?

Rev. Durrell Watkins will be in Longview from New York City to discuss this topic.
