review popular German words and phrases, teach "Stille
Nacht, Heilige Nacht", and wrap up the evening with
Part I of the German Movie "The Harmonists". There
is no charge, and it is open to the public. Please

Lunch program features a speaker's panel to discuss the
title theme. Panelists include Unni Varier, Jonna
Anderson, and Dr. Al Hummadi. Other panelists are Rabbi
Heidi Coretz (Temple Emanu-El) and Rev. Phil Jones (First
Christian Church). Tickets are $6 and are available from

Walk
November 18th
Over 2000 communities around the country will hold a CROP
WALK this year, involving people of all faiths. In
partnership with organizations in more than 80 countries,
Church World Service (CWS) sponsors this event. CWS
uses the proceeds for disaster relief and recovery,
refugee resettlement and assistance, relief of hunger, and
self-help development assistance,. A portion of the
collected funds will benefit the Longview Community
Ministries' Food Box. Two years ago, UFL raised over $700,
nearly 1/3 of the total for Longview. The walk
begins at First Christian Church.
