The minutes of the board meeting of June 10, 2001 were published in the July Newsletter. A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes as published. Motion carried.
The new Treasurer, John Riley did not have a report available to him for the month of June, but gave a verbal report of the bank balances of cash in the checking account.
Program Chair, Ruth Semrau, reported that, in working with the Program Committee, she is very encouraged about possible programs for the weeks ahead.
OLD BUSINESS: Distribution (as authorized by the congregation at the Annual Meeting held June 17, 2001) of the $300 from the 2000-2001 budget allotted to that part of the budget known as "Social Concerns." After discussion, a motion was made and seconded to contribute $25.00 to the Women*s Center, rather than Casa Speranta as was done last year. The motion carried. Otherwise, the distribution will remain the same, as follows:

A motion was made and seconded to pay "Our Fair Share" for the past fiscal year ($528.00) to the Unitarian Universalist Association, of which we are a member. Motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS: The next meeting of the Governing Board will be August 12 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fellowship building.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 10:25 a.m., after which there was a meeting of the Program Committee.
